I don't have much to write about lately regarding our status but I just wanted to share a song today that has lifted me up many times. I know every song may have different meanings to different people. This one just happens to speak to me regarding infertility.

Fix You (Coldplay)
Songwriters: Berryman, Guy; Buckland, Jon; Champion, Will; Martin, Chris;
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
And I
Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
And I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Yes, me too. So much so that I can't listen to it. The last time I did I was in my car and ended up hysterically crying.
ReplyDeleteDamn...those are some wicked powerful lyrics. They made me cry...
ReplyDeleteI moved my blog url and am slowly rebuilding my blog list, so I wanted to let you know. New blog = http://gvandmonkey.blogspot.com
I love, love, love that song. It was played at our wedding and while I felt the meaning behind the words then, they've taken on a new depth as we stuggle with infertility. Such a great song :)
ReplyDelete<3 this song.
ReplyDeleteGreat song! I never saw it this way until I came across your blog. I'm visiting from Little Looman Log. My hubby and I are also struggling with infertility and I am amazed at how you really don't know how many couples are struggling until you are in their shoes. The blog world is a wonderful thing! I don't talk about our struggles much on my blog but after reading others, I can see it as great therapy and maybe I do need to express myself more. My poor husband hears it enough at home!
